South African Safari

Hi All..... blogging is new to me, so if I ramble on a bit, bear with me.

From a photography point of view, I've just returned from a two week holiday in South Africa. I moved from there to Australia some 8 years ago, but was keen for my Aussie partner to see some wildlife, in the flesh and in the wilds.

What a photographic smorgesbord it turned out to be. Having recently bought a Sony A200 DSLR and some lenses, I felt like a beginner all over again, but this camera did an awesome job. The built-in antishake did wonders against the vibrations of the game viewing vehicle, so the only duds were of my making, but fortunately only a few.

We returned with nearly 1000 photo's and a few hours of video footage and incredible memories of the bush and it's inhabitants.

So.... I will post the shots I like and you may comment or not, but as a purist, what you see is what I saw.
