"Going Manual" will open up a whole new world to you when you feel that it is time. Taking full control of your camera is very liberating. Sites like this one can really help you see your work from different perspectives.

"Go manual" becoming quite easy, when you know what you want to have as a result. Actually manually - you looking first at DOF - the focus area is more and more shellow with increase of apperture - small advice - do a seria of picture of your street with apperture priority and making manual focus on the middle of it - you will see the difference. But first you have to know why you are doing this, then do it.
