Hi Folks.
It's Monday morning and I have just returned from my daily swim, Dont you think a piece of toast with marmalade and a glass of milk straight from the fridge tastes lovely after an early morning swim?
I would have done a blog yesterday, but every other Sunday we have Auntie May with us for the day. I don't know if I have mentioned Auntie May before, She is my wife, Ena's Aunt and lives on her own but with lots of visitors. Ena and I do some shopping for her on Tuesday mornings, then go there by lunch time. While I wind up May's clocks (they last a week)Ena does the lunch, then for an hour or so we have a chinwag, usually dominated by Auntie May, who by the way is 86, no I tell a lie, it's 87.
Oh don't you hate it when people say that? NO I TELL A LIE. They are usually talking about something of no significance to you, then suddenly come out with "no I tell a lie" I just want to scream at them and say "Tell a lie please, it doesn't matter" Anyway where was I, oh yes, Auntie May and Sundays.
We do the same thing on Fridays, except wind the clocks, I wind up May instead. Every other Sunday I drive up to Mays house, five minutes driving and five minutes traffic lights. Don't get me started on the traffic lights in Merthyr. I have even done a poem about them including pictures, as a digital story on merthyrstories.org.uk hint, hint. Right as I was saying, I pick up May every other Sunday morning and she spends the day with us, we then take her home early evening to wait for a phone call from her niece in Dalas Texas. On the Sunday's that May doesn't cone to us, she goes to onother niece, Doris, and spends the day with her. So, there you have it, Saterday night I got caught up in a tv programme, and Sunday I spent the day "listening to", no sorry delete that, "talking with" Auntie May.
Ah, here's Ena now with my medication and a cup of cocoa.
Speak to you next week. Roy.
