Hi again. I'm sorry that I had to cut my last blog short, I had, as usual, forgotten about taking my wife to the dentist, still, it's done now, and when she smiles a little star appears on her teeth and makes a "ping" noise honest!!.
I have always considered myself fairly well travelled, but as I said in blog two, I had never travelled from South Wales, where I live, to North Wales until we went two weeks ago. what a pleasant eye opener that was. On one excursion we went by narrow gauge rail from the village of Llanberis up Mount Snowdon as far as Clogwyn Station. Clogwyn is 306m from the summit, and if you wish to go any further you have to walk. Unfortunately I can't do that any more. Snowdon, by the way is 1,085m high.
We had a great time. My wife, by the way is not interested in photography, she is long suffering and uncomplaining, and spends a lot of time in the car with me while I am taking a shot that really has to be taken.
Apart from photography I also like poetry, and enjoy writing rhymes, taking photos to go with them and then making it into a digital story, always about Merthyr Tydfil. These then go onto a site called www.merthyrstories.org.uk.
I am also a member of the Royal British Legion and am the local branch photographer. so I have lots of photos of Remembrance Day Parades.
Right, I am now going to upload some shots of my trip to North Wales.
I'll blog again soon. Best Regards everyone, Roy.

First... I would like to congratulate you on your contest win. That was an incredible picture. I must say that it is wonderful that you have a wife that puts up with photography. I also have a wonderful husband who will stop in the middle of the road for me if I think I can get a good shot. Please continue to share your beautiful pictures. I look forward to seeing more. Jen
