Hi friends.
I hope I can call you that. The thing is, I don't even know how to make, or become a friend on line. This is not only my first blog, it's the first time that I have been on a site where I am actually in touch with other like minded people, and I think that geting feedback from all over the world is brilliant, thanks Kojak, wait till I tell them at the Camera club. Although I am quite conversant with photography and image editing, I am a little hesitant when it comes to writing things down for people that I don't know to read, hence my intro Hi Friends.
I joined my shots, a couple of weeks ago, but because of an error That I made in a discription (at my age age it's easy to forget things, or even mix them up) anyway, I decided to leave MyShots. I had a nice e-mail from Kojak but decided to try another site. I did. I uploaded some of my shots, had a look around the site and decided that it did not have the warmth of comunication that MyShots has. So I'm back, but uploading different images to the ones I had a week or two ago.
I have recieved such nice feed-back that I decided to have a go at writing a blog, and if this is OK I'l write again with news of Merthyr Tydfil, and of course other things. Regards all, roy.
I am glad to hear you decided to come back, and agree with you, the friendliness of MyShots members is great and a positive feedback system encourages people to show more of their work without having to fear that other people do not like what they shoot and how.
Some shots that are under- or overexposed or in other ways technically not very useful have to go as the focus on Myshots is on quality, rather than maximum images amounts (Fortunately we do not have to delete many images). This way we try to make browsing images more exciting.
Everyone loves to show his family and pets, but ususally this is not very interesting for other people.
good to read your blog Roy, I'd like to hear more about Merthyr Tydfil, your camera club and more about your images and how you manipulate them. I also enjoy the feedback from around the world and glimpses of places I have been, or would like to go
Hi, I got to say that I've seen some great shots from you and I'm glad your back, keep up the good work, and I think also that Kojak has created a warm and feiendly site for us all to enjoy, it is totally different from anything else I've seen out there, welcome back.
