Hold fast to dreams!

Langsdon Hughes, the black poet, wrote:
"Hold fast to dreams,
For if dreams die,
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly."
I am now 74 years old and have covered much territory in the experiencing of life. I taught school for thirty years, but during that time even had a professional photography studio for seven years (while teaching). I got burned out with wedding photos, and with yearbook photos while teaching. But, enter the digital advent of photography and here I am...hooked on photography again. I feel like a student embarking on a new degree program...learning Photoshop and Elements, studying, and taking classes or workshops. It is thrilling, exciting, and enticing, and I love it! So, I am holding "fast" to my dream, which now is to be the best photographer I can be at my age. Through the lens, I will stay young.
