What a sweet little bird! Beautiful photo, nice and clear, good composition. These are the scences I like to find. Great Shot!

Love the composition of this photo. Your eyes are drawn to the sparrow? In the full size, the detail really comes through. Maybe the focus could have been slightly sharper but it still is a great shot. Again, nicely done. Dave92706

Wow! Unbelievable scene. Unfortunately the upper right corner is burnt out and the fullsize picture is very fuzzy. A higher ISO setting, or a VR lens would maybe help. Considering this picture is rather unrepeatable you must be somewhat unhappy with the quality. I still love the scene very much. Poor little sparrow... You nearly feel its heartbeet in your hands. Had I not consider the quality, it would be a 10.

Beautiful shot Gail. Once in a lifetime shot. You must have your camera with you always.

Perfect placement of the subject in the frame. Tough exposure to get correct and you have done a good job in that respect as well. I would agree that the shot is a bit blurred - I think that was probably due to hand shake. While VR lenses are a suggestion - most of us cannot afford such luxury!

You shot this at 300mm according to the EXIF information with a shutter speed of 1/320. That is just right on the border of being workable for a hand held shot, especially at 300mm. I would have bumped that ISO up just a bit more to get a faster shutter speed and a crisper subject (and then backed out some of the noise afterward in post processing).

Nice photo.
