The Cataract Gorge

Description
Located in Launceston, Tasmania Australia, the Cataract George is simply a stunning place to be in, with many interesting places to take photos from if one is willing to look off the beaten tracks for them.

This shot was a lot of hard work climbing over rocks but was well worth it, despite a few slips and close encounters with loose rocks.

Downloaded for closer look. Nice shot the people and the walkway add scale to this picture. I bet the water is cold.

The water is indeed fairly cold, still pleasant to be in on a hot summer day.

If I wasn't perched precariously on a rock when I took this shot I would have taken a panoramic set. It would be the only way to show the sheer scale of the gorge.
