Description
This is a photo I took early in the morning this past summer at Garden City Beach in SC. I caught my sister totally caught up in her own world. This was a gorgeous morning with the sun rising and the tide going out. The sky was beautiful with colors and cloud formations that were changing fast. I probably took 100 or more shots with only a few worth keeping. This morning was one of the most exciting times I have had taking photos. I was up very early and on the beach every morning for a week. Although I took many shots and wittnessed so many beautiful sunrises, this was the best. I count my self lucky to have wittnessed and captured this moment. I used my Nikon D-80 with a Sigma 70-300mm lense and a polorized filter.

Hi Darlene

Nice shot. I like the colour of the reflected sunlight and your sister walking out of the image adds to the mood of the scene and moment as you described. I have been very fortunate photographing sunrises over the past years here in Brisbane and each has been a unique experience. Somewhat sadly, for me, anyway, I find my self by my lonesome when picture-taking and have to relate my experiences by word of mouth and also displaying and sharing my images. I know exactly what you have experienced and remember that there are so many people out there who have never seen or experienced Nature-at-Work. Keep up your good imaging.
