You have managed to catch a some nice bursts here and the small burst that is within the dark triangle is spot on.
Unfortunately the shot is not quite sharp and is possibly mis-focused.
You have indicated that you are trying to get to grips with firework shots but reading between the lines you do not seem entirely happy with your results.
So here are a few tips toward getting successful shots.

You will need the following:
1.Tripod
2.Remote release
3.A camera with a bulb setting[some brands may use a different term]
4.A piece of black card.

With your camera on a tripod, use a widish lens manually focused on infinity, if the display is far enough away and select an aperture of around f8.

Set the camera to bulb and place the black card over the lens completely cutting of any light.
Open the shutter using the remote release and hold it open. When the fireworks go off above you take the card away briefly and do not replace it until the burst has faded, close the shutter.
With practice you can record several separate bursts on a single frame using the above technique but you may need to stop the lens down further to avoid over exposure.
My sincerest apologies in advance if I have misunderstood your description and made a vain attempt to teach grandma to suck eggs.

Regards,Les.

Thanx for the tips Les. I used a tripod with my camera set to a 4 sec exposure and I triggered it with my wireless remote. I messed with the iso and F stop until I got the result I wanted. Next time I'll try the technique you suggested and see how I like it.

cheers,
