Extremely sharp and crisp focus on the subject of the seed pod that you can only really appreciate when you download the full size photo. I might try to boost the blue saturation in this photo just a bit as the background has a sort of faded look. Might make the subject stand out a bit more. Interesting shot.

Here is a real quick effort to increase the "blue" in the background. I tried to preserve the other colors in the frame just as you captured them.

funny, I did this at first myself, but it was a cloudy day with a sort of golden light, and when I changed the colour balance I lost the 'touch me' colour of the pod, so the original is more true to life, but I do like the way the seed pod looks against the bluer background and I like that you've kept most of the golden colouring of the pod. I'll have to take photoshop lessons
