Roots Of Life

Description
A Kapok tree, standing more than 50 metres tall and still growing, entangles the ancient Ta Prohm temple at Angkor in Cambodia. This particular tree is estimated to be more than 200 years old.

I have used elements of Photoshop to selectively colour only the living objects in this image and to give some effect, depth and dimension relating to the title of this image. If your interested I can give you my method of achieving this result.

Hope you like it.

Hi Aldersm
Really like what you've done with this photo. I have a similar slide from about twenty years ago, that could use the same treatment. I'll have to get it printed and scanned first I guess.
Keep up the great work.
Louise

I like this picture most from all that you posted in the series. Is there a lot of time difference between your pictures (of that tree)? Ruins look less green on this one. And the sky!

I like what you have done here Steve, I don`t understand a lot of this digital editing but I`m amazed at some of the things people do . I think this is a great photo on its own. The composition is tops, Thanks for your comments on my `Outback Pub` it was a real treasure, pity it got burned down. Cheers from Terry.
