The subject of the photo is not in crisp focus, the crop is a bit tight for my taste and there is a large amount of chromatic aberration in this photo (purple fringing). You can reduce the purple fringing in photos by shooting with a more stopped down aperture setting, as an example, f/8.

You may also need to put your camera into a macro mode to get close up focus done properly. Usually denoted with the tulip head on a lot of cameras.
