Giant Little Flower

Description
I just like this image. Perhaps it's because these flowers are only a couple inches wide and that the angle and color makes them look huge.

Shot in the late afternoon it was very cool light. The focus of this photo is actually the tiny spider threads. I was just shooting a little jumping spider prior to this, so I was all 'spidery' in my focus.

lovely! I would have liked a little more depth of field to capture the area where the stems come together, but with macro sometimes it's a compromise and I like the translucency of the heart shaped seed pods and the fine spider web. I love the limited colours, just blues and browns and the framing of the shot. Very nice.

Using imagery and soft focus usually makes a picture better. I think you should redo the shot and this time use less fade out.

is 'fade out' some new technical term I'm unfamiliar with?

I love the bokeh, what is the glass? Can not say that i am a big fun of colors and this thing in the corner kicks me in the eye, but the bokeh and light - are fantastick.

Good point.

It's an outstanding lens. I bought it for $50 used, though apparently the retail was closer to $600.

I'd HIGHLY recommend it for any pentax owner it's likely the best macro I've ever shot with which includes Nikon and Lieca examples.
