love the contrasting colours here of the lichen on the fence and the topping of frost lit by the morning sun really makes it special.

I also like the contrasting colors in this shot - if this fence was just normal weathered wood color it would not be nearly as dramatic or interesting to the eye. The hint of green adds to the overall feel and make this almost a Christmas photo to me. I might have pushed the green a little more the left in the frame.

I love how we can throw ides around and help each other. I'm a bit of a 'compose it at the time' girl, so rarely crop (though I try to check the colour balance now

) but I like this closer as well, with the green lichen off to the left and less background, but the first one is a little more open, the cropped image is almost abstract (which anyone who has seen my other photos will know that I like anyway). Thanks for the critiques folks, feel free to have a chat about any of my shots.
