Freycinelia multiflora

Rating: 8
4 Ratings since 2007-10-18 02:48

Description
This Philippines native brings the most unusual deep orange blooms to the late winter and early spring container garden. Preferring modest light levels, its upright and somewhat vining stems produce open faced, pointed flowers with petals that never unfurl. Long lasting. Freycinetia multiflora is one of 65 species of dioecious, climbing or scrambling shrubs of the family Pandanaceae native to the Old World Tropics.

As a great admirer of flowers and macro photos of flowers this is an excellant photo. Lovely The water droplets are an added bonus to this photo.

This one is a fine example of a breathing, beautiful thing…

Even if flowers are not ‘my thing’ I’m never indifferent to their extravagant colorful charm. But far more compelling than the flowers themselves is to witness the power they hold over the photographers (I’ve known a few from your tribe) whose dedication and endless enthusiasm never abates - your pictures are proud testimony of your passion.
Also appreciated is the generous and well written description accompanying the shots.

Cheers
