Description
Taken this past summer in my backyard while experimenting with the macro mode of a new telephoto lens that I had purchased. I had many more "misses" this day than successes. Bees like to move around a bit as you know. This shot was taken at ISO800 to get a fast enough shutter speed without using flash - one of the main reasons I moved to a DSLR camera from a compact - usable high ISO shots.

Yup this is a great shot of a bee foraging I do appreciate how hard it is to shoot bees.Beeing a beekeeper I like to shoot bees. To shoot a bee whilst foraging is quite difficult one shot at a time. With my patience and time tolerances I only shoot bees in multi frame modes. By the way your bee is a very well bred Italian and your picture is superb!
