very nice photo
i have 3 questions please
first the background blur did u do it by photoshop or is it done by the lens?
the frame around the photo is it made by photoshop or some other program?
the colors look very real did you change them with photoshop?
thank you
To answer your questions:
1. The background blur is entirely natural, the Canon 55-250mm produces excellent bokeh.
The camera was is AV mode and the settings were aperture f16 shutter speed 1/160 second using evaluative metering.
2.The frame was done in photoshop,it is very easy to do and takes about 20 seconds to create. If you would like to know how it is done just ask and I will do my best to explain the method.
3.The colors were produced by the camera,I shoot raw and have used a picture style that I created myself with Canons picture style editor software that is available as a free down load from Canons website. The style I created was based on the neutral picture style that is already on the Canon 400d.
So that is basically it, all done by the camera and subsequent raw conversion, with the final resizing and border done in photoshop.
On your chosen image go to Select> select all and this will put a line of marching ants around the image.
Then go to Edit>Stroke and the stroke dialogue box should appear, enter an an amount of between 2-5 pixels where it says width and where it says location, choose inside.Click OK and when this is done go to select >deselect. You should now have a white key line around your image.
The next thing you have to do is go to Image>Canvas Size and check the box where it says relative, and where width and height are indicated enter a value of between 100-150 pixels and click OK.You should now have a black frame that looks like the one around my image.
You may have to use pixel values that differ from the ones that I have suggested because the the values are image size dependent. On a small image for web use it may be necessary to use smaller pixel values and conversely for an large print then you may need to increase the pixel values.
It was more complicated for me to type these instructions than it is do carry out the procedure and I am sure you can work it out.Have fun.
Regards,Les.
the border was larger than the original 10 mega pixels image
but thanks for the detailed info i got the same result you got but after putting a value of 2 pixels in the canvas size
