Not sure I'm in the right spot here but am looking for some advice.
I have a Canon PowerShot S3IS and am wondering why it allows me choose shutter speeds as slow 15 seconds but doesn't provide an aperture to suit. For example, if I want to take a waterfall shot with a slow shutter speed in daylight, it seems I don't have an aperture that will allow me to do this. Camera only has aperture range from F2.7 to F8.
Perhaps a lesson on shutter speeds and apertures could be next on the agenda?

All my Powershot A's have the same settings as u..
F8 isnt much in daylight, u just have to wait till sun is going down or there's heavy clouds providing shadow.
Thats how i managed to take thestream pic in my gallery.

Do you know of an online instruction manual for cameras for aperture settings? I am seeing to have the same issue that Val is, and it is driving me almost insane. I have looked up just about anything I can think of, I received my camera as a gift w/o any instructions, so I as blind as to where I should be looking.

I am still having issues with my aperture settings, I will have to check those out and see if they are any help, seems like a never ending thing with me.
