I have a program called Microsoft Digital Imaging and it converts prints to all kinds of different styles. Got it on Ebay. Kathryn J. Miller |

I just went in and played with a couple options. There are so many choices and paint brush strokes, plus all the other options. I am going to post a couple, one is done in an impressionist style, one chalk option, and another like an oil painting. Like I said there are so many editing options that I could not even begin to figure out what you would exactly want. Hope this helps and I will keep my out for the program.

I just went to Ebay and found the editing programs, including this one. You need to search for digital editing programs, and Microsoft. There are others too, including the Photoshop. Kathryn J. Miller |

If you have PS - most likely you will have a plug-in, look for plug-in library in google - there are million of them, and, I assume, it could be cheaper.

Try Artrage 2.5 It's very likely BETTER then painter in many ways ( I USED to use painter ) The best part? It's $25!
Also there is a feature intented to do exactly what you need... convert images to paintings. Import an image into the background and pull color info right from the image as you paint! Awsum.
example?

PS. if you don't have a tablet this will be somewhat of a frustrating task to accomplish. Tablet is HIGHLY recommended for anything 'painty'

i found that i can make oil paintings with ACD see 9

like the drawings of the 1800s
like the ones of Napoleon for example
i want to turn photos into a work of art with its rich colors but maintain the
sharpest details so please tell me if there is such a program on the market
