Nobody has nothing to say because we are all very nice guys on here and could not possibly do anything that would cause a negative reaction anywhere.
It is well known that negative reactions are triggered mainly by the people who use that other site

whenever people see me taking photos of anything they start looking at me as if i am stealing apparently carrying a camera here in my country is worse than firing a machine gun

once i went out of the city to photograph an old deserted train station i was interrogated for 2 hours by Hizbollah militants

other time i wanted to photograph inside a park the security refused to let me do so unless i get a license from the municipality

other time i took a photo of a street at night the army told me it is forbidden

also i was photographing inside an old ruined house and the police came and stopped me i told them is it possible to go to the toilet here and photography is not allowed

all in the name of security but people who are spies can get a smaller camera than mine to take pics and no one will notice them

i read on other forums about worse reactions than this like pointing guns at photographers

most people or even police officers and military believe that the bigger the camera the more threat it causes so if you carry an slr it is a problem but a point and shoot is ok which is nonsense

sorry for the long post

Man, thats seems like a place to avoid. The term i'm going out on a shoot takes on a whole new meaning there.
I have just thought of a couple of incidents where I have got some adverse reaction.
The first one was in the a shopping mall in Cardiff when a security guard asked me to stop taking photos, I did not know the reason for this and I did not argue, I just put my camera back in its bag and left him, lying there.
The second incident was in the Valley of Kings in Egypt inside a tomb of an Egyptian pharoah whose name eludes me at the moment.Photography was not allowed in there so I tried to sneak a shot from the hip.Unfortunately the security guard heard the mirror flipping up and threatened to confiscate my camera. What an a idiotic thing to do and at my age too.Luckily for me, money talks in Egypt and I discreetly showed him a twenty pound note and he backed off. As we were leaving the tomb I slipped the bribe into his hands which he quickly snatched from me and put in his pocket.
We both left each other with a big grin on our faces,he was grinning because he had got some money and I was grinning because I had got my shot, kept my camera and switched the twenty pound note for a five pound note without the greedy little bugger realizing.

i do not know if people are becoming stupid after 9/11 or Alkaeda poisoned the water with stupidity substance but people should know that there is a hobby called photography and if the photographer is not taking their naked photos without them accepting then it is okay especially that the same photos we are taking were taken by some other photographer

that fact i always stress but people do not understand

for example if someone wants to photograph the British parliament and a police stops him for an unknown reason this is funny because its photos are all over the net

see how stupid the people are what building or seen is more critical than this building if security is the problem

same thing with the Egyptian security the only thing that attracts visitors to Egypt are the ruins yet he is trying to bother you

good and quick response to this problem i would also pay for a photo

by the way davels our country is a great tourist but you know there is always someone who can ruin your day but foreigners are always welcomed

check my site www.moogy.tk

you will find a lot of good places for photography
