Hi, I am completely new here and have a question on which I couldn't find anything on the web. I use an Sony Cybershot DSC H5 camera, which does not offer the .raw format. I only found out that I'd really like that after I had bought the camera. Apart from that, I rather like the camera, so now I was wondering whether anybody would know of a program/a way/an algorithm/template to reconstruct a .raw image from the options the H5 gives me. (i.e. retrospectively remove all the on-board processing again)?
Thank you in advance for your thoughts on this!

Backing to RAW is impossible at least as I know. You have only one opportunity to get nearly the same result. Take your pictures in tiff format uncompressed or LZW compressed (LZW compression will leave your pixels alone, won't make any changes on your picture). RAW and tiff are very close in quality and many of RAW-converter programs are able to work with tiff format.
There are 10 types of people. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
