...and it looks pretty bad I think:

let me know your thoughts about it.

I really do not like it. It doesn't sell anything to me, and I think that it just looks messy. Also, I don't like the color. If they were going to go with all red, they could have just chosen a more vibrant shade.

Looks like it should be for the Beijing Olympics instead.

Someone should be more than fired, they should be beaten. What kind of a logo is that, what does it stand for? There is no way that could stand for the Olympics, otherwise I am truly going blind here and don't see it at all!

A logo is supposed to be a "recognizable graphic design element, representing an organization or product." The Olympics' Governing Body (or somebody) should have another go at this 2012 logo as it is certainly not recognizable and not at all representative of anything I would (personally) associate with the word OLYMPICS. Don't mean to be too insensitive, but it's terrible. Winston |

It looks to me like the configuration of the continents of the world prior to continental drift!

Biggest blunder since George Bush. How the hell could that have happened?

One of the worst logodesign I've ever seen. I know there are things what are best to be forgotten but the first thing what crossed my mind when I looked at this was the London metro bombing not the Olympic Games. I hope it'll be replaced soon... There are 10 types of people. Those who understand binary and those who don't. |

I can see that the top half should represent 20 and the bottom half represents 12, but when I look at it, all I see is a swastika. Roy Lewis |

To put my initial thoughts into words upon seeing the logo was: UGLY, UGLY, UGLY ! ! ! Oh yea...and the one other thing was:
"What is this for???" CdnBuilt |

I thought the Olympic supposed to represent different country, continent, people, believe, etc. and bring all of those things together in harmony. What happen with the ol' fashion color like red, green, yellow, black, and blue like the one on the Olympic flag?

Yep, pretty ugly. Fire the marketing whiz-kids and put it out there for the public to design a logo, then pick a winner. There has to be someone out there that can capture the spirit of the Olympics better than that.

Looks like crap. Looks like a designer gave the pen tool to his 6 year old son and decided to turn in his work.

The logo was such a mess it took me a moment to figure out that it says 2012. It's definitely ugly and doesn't do anything to hold your attention or convey any feeling of London as the host location. Absolutely no imagination involved there!

Good gosh, how horrible. I assume I haven't seen it before because they were to embarassed to release it.
I tried looking at it from different angles, stared at it like you would one of those "pictures hidden in a picture" and still can't get anything out of it.
They need to try again. With another designer.
